  So... I've bought this skirt, that I love. But I'm not quite sure what to wear with it. I think I would might wear it as in the pic (with black tights too), but I could use som more ideas. I think it would be nice with a classic white shirt and black pumps, but 1/ I don't own neither of 'em (yet) and 2/ I think it may be to businessy (I'm just at student).   Love the skirt! I think they way you're wearing it in this pic is simple and classic - nothing wrong with that! I know what you mean about the business-y thing, I have a few skirts that make me feel that way too...!  But I think if you did the blouse + skirt combo with tights and a chunky cardigan or leather jacket on top, plus maybe wedges instead, then you can avoid the secretary look for sure!

  I love the classic look :) But I also think the skirt can be styled in many ways, with a cool T-shirt or a striped sweater and much more :D

  Thanks for your suggestions girls :) Good advices to avoid the secretary-look, canadieren!
  
  Emilie: the skirt is pin-striped, so I don't think a top with pattern/stripes will be good. But maybe a white pussybow blouse in silk, black tights, and the shoes worn in the pic.

  I think there are many ways to avoid looking secretarial. T-shirts might look killer with it as well as some layering (think camisoles, light shirts and cardigans). Also, the shoes can be very instrumental in killing the "business" look. I'm not quite sure of the texture of this skirt or your personal style but maybe so gloss black patent leather pumps?
  
  I like the way you have it now. I'd avoid adding any sort of blazer to this look because, at least for me, that's a sure-fire way to make it look more business like.

  I suggest you wear a red top for this skirt - either sleeveless or with sleeves. You can wear the same shoes. You can also go for a beige sleeveless top and a nude D'Orsay shoes[your legs will longer with this cut of shoes]. :)

  Like this skirt lol. But I don't wear these short skirt. I only like to wear Indian traditional dress. And here i too would like to share my most recent purchase dress with you all.
